We picked The Loft @205 for our Albany Speed Dating events because the ambiance was warm and inviting, with just the right mix of modern and cozy -- the perfect place for NY singles to talk and meet. Come for the speed dating and stay until midnight for their relaxed, yet intimate speak easy vibe. All our their handcrafted cocktails are made in house, using locally sourced ingredients and spirits. We think singles at the event will enjoy the entire experience.

- Buy a ticket and we'll put you on the event list. Mark your calendar. Dress comfortably but still polished and give yourself time to find the location and park. for our friendly Event Host to welcome you, check you in by name and give instructions.
- You'll talk to up to 12 potential matches, in 6-minute "Pre-Dates." We make the number of men and women as even as possible. Talk about what you like, but keep it light & friendly. Circle who you’d like to speak with again and make a note describing each person (red hair, blue shirt) so you'll remember who's who. Take a picture of the sheet with your phone before you hand it in.
- Within 24-hours of the end of the event we'll text and email you the results. You’ll likely have one or more matches. After that, it’s up to you! Since you’ve had a Pre-Date, your chances of making a more lasting connection are vastly increased.

I had a great time and met a wonderful man.
I attended a pre-dating event for the first time in April. I tried online for a long time but wasn't meeting quality men. I read about speed dating, perhaps it was a better way to meet men. I had a great time that night and met a wonderful man. We both hit it off from the very beginning and we have been dating for 7 weeks. We have fun together and we only live 1/2 mile from each other! I don't know what the future lies for us but if we go our separate ways I will definitely try pre-dating again. Thanks pre-dating!
